Purpose of award: To recognize and promote academic excellence and achievement.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be residents of Mississippi and U.S. citizens or permanent residents. They must be graduating high school seniors or have earned their GED during the application year and have applied or been accepted to a post-secondary school. Applications must include ACT or SAT scores, high school transcript or GED test results, extracurricular activities, leadership activities, honors and awards and a one-page essay .
Target applicant: High school students
Minimum GPA: None
Amount: $1,100-$1,500.
Number of awards: 70-75. Scholarship may be renewable.
Deadline: March 31.
