Purpose of award: To help outstanding high school seniors pursue higher education.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be graduating seniors in a South Carolina high school. Public, private and home-schooled students are eligible. Applicants must have a score of at least 1300 on the SAT or a score of at least 29 on the ACT and a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Target applicant: High school students
Minimum GPA: 3.5
Amount: $1,500.
Number of awards: 96. Scholarship may be renewable.
Deadline: February 1.
How to apply: Schools and home-school associations select applicants.
