Purpose of award: To support minority high school students who might be interested in a career at the BI-LO company.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be minority high school seniors who plan to enroll as freshmen at Benedict College, Claflin University, Morris College, North Carolina A&T State University and South Carolina State University. Applicants must agree to participate in the BI-LO Cooperative Education Program for one semester in the summer following their sophomore year. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, minimum SAT score of 900 and be interested in pursuing a career in the food retail industry, which may include accounting, business management, marketing, distribution management, communications, pharmacy, human resources, information systems, advertising and finance.
